WARRANTY POLICY – NS DIESEL PUMPS AND INJECTORS

OVERVIEW

At NS Diesel Pumps and Injectors, we stand behind the quality of our products. This Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions of our product warranties.

1. WARRANTY COVERAGE

1.1 Standard Warranty Period

All diesel injectors and fuel pumps purchased from NS Diesel are covered by a 12-month parts-only warranty from the date of purchase, subject to the conditions outlined in this policy.

1.2 What Is Covered

We warrant that our products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. If a part is found to be defective within the warranty period, we will, at our discretion:

  • Replace the defective part with a new or remanufactured equivalent, or
  • Refund the purchase price, or
  • Issue a credit toward future purchases

1.3 OEM and Remanufactured Products

  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) injectors and pumps: 12-month parts-only warranty
  • Remanufactured injectors and pumps: 12-month parts-only warranty

2. WARRANTY CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

To maintain warranty coverage, the following conditions must be met:

2.1 Professional Installation

Products must be installed by a qualified diesel technician or mechanic. Improper installation voids the warranty.

2.2 New Fuel Filter Installation

A new fuel filter must be fitted at the time of injector or pump installation. Failure to install a new fuel filter voids the warranty.

2.3 Fuel System Cleanliness

The fuel system must be clean and free from particle contamination (such as dust, metal shavings, or debris) before installation. Damage caused by contaminated fuel or dirty fuel systems is not covered under warranty.

2.4 Pre-Installation Cleaning Requirements

  • High-pressure fuel lines and rail outlets must be cleaned after overnight exposure to prevent particle contamination
  • Seating areas must be properly cleaned before installation
  • Fuel inlet must be removed and thoroughly cleaned if metal or particle contamination is present

2.5 Handling and Storage

Injectors and pumps must be handled and stored according to manufacturer specifications to prevent damage.

2.6 Verification and Testing

Products must be tested and verified as defective before warranty claims are processed. We may require the return of the defective part for inspection and verification.

2.7 Correct Fitment

The product must be the correct part for the application. Modification, adjustment, or incorrect fitment voids the warranty.

3. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does NOT cover:

3.1 Contamination Damage

  • Damage caused by fuel contamination (dirty, contaminated, or incorrect fuel type)
  • Damage from particle contamination in the fuel system
  • Damage from water, debris, or foreign substances in the fuel

3.2 Improper Installation or Use

  • Damage caused by improper installation, including blow-by damage
  • Misuse, abuse, negligence, or accident
  • Use in applications for which the product was not designed

3.3 Normal Wear and Tear

  • Components subject to normal wear during regular operation
  • Deterioration from age or use

3.4 Unauthorised Modifications

  • Products that have been modified, adjusted, altered, or repaired by unauthorised persons
  • Use of non-genuine or incompatible parts

3.5 Labour and Associated Costs

  • Labour costs for removal, installation, or diagnosis
  • Towing, transportation, or shipping costs
  • Consequential damages, including vehicle downtime, loss of use, or lost profits
  • Damage to other vehicle components

3.6 Overheating Damage

  • Damage caused by engine overheating or excessive temperatures

4. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

4.1 Notification Period

Warranty claims must be submitted within 7 business days of discovering the defect or issue.

4.2 How to Make a Claim

To initiate a warranty claim:

  1. Contact us at sales@nsdiesel.com with your order number and description of the issue
  2. Provide proof of purchase (invoice or receipt)
  3. Provide photographic evidence of the defect (if requested)
  4. Return the defective part for inspection (if requested)

4.3 Assessment and Verification

All returned parts will be inspected to verify the defect and determine if the failure is covered under warranty. We reserve the right to deny claims if the defect is determined to be caused by excluded conditions. We will assess warranty claims within 5–7 business days of receiving the returned part and documentation. Approved claims will be processed promptly.

5. PARTS-ONLY WARRANTY

Important: This is a parts-only warranty. NS Diesel is not responsible for:

  • Labour costs associated with diagnosis, removal, or installation
  • Towing or transportation expenses
  • Rental vehicle costs or loss of vehicle use
  • Any other incidental or consequential damages

6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability under this warranty is limited to the purchase price of the defective product
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • We are not liable for damages resulting from improper installation, contamination, or misuse

7. CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in this warranty policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement. Under Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to additional rights and remedies beyond this warranty, including repair, replacement, or refund for major failures and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

8. GENERAL TERMS

  • 8.1 Non-Transferable: This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable
  • 8.2 Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) must be provided for all warranty claims
  • 8.3 Warranty Modifications: We reserve the right to modify this warranty policy at any time. Changes will apply to products purchased after the modification date
  • 8.4 Governing Law: This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia
